Happy 2026!
It’s a new year! Which means… it’s time for some new goals! I’ll admit, I procrastinated a bit. But honestly, that kinda checks out. I like to wait until I feel ready to make my New Year’s goals. So without further ado, my 2026 letter to my future self:
Sometimes it’s a little difficult to write these New Year’s goals. I’ve had the time, but just haven’t been sure what to say. I might have been waiting for an “ah-ha” moment. But it’s already the second week of January. So, whether I know where this letter is going or not, it’s time to write it.
Dear Kylie,
2025 was a year of amazing achievements and hard work. I believe there will be more of that for you in 2026. I know there are still dreams in your heart that feel out of reach. I know there are days when you wish your life looked a little different. But 2025 showed you that God has a good plan. He’s working behind the scenes and revealing one step to you at a time.
I’ve said it for the past couple of years now, so it’s nothing entirely new. My greatest hope for you in 2026 is that you’d continue to intentionally, wholeheartedly pursue your relationship with God. I pray that as you spend another year in the Word, it would come alive in a new way. I hope there will be more opportunities to dive into community and that when those opportunities are presented, you’d take them. I hope you’ll continue to pray fervently—for your family, your friends, and yourself. I hope that you’ll continue to let worship transform your life—whether you’re in your car, your room, church, or somewhere else.
In 2025, dance became a routine part of your life again. As you step into a season of long work days and busier schedules, I hope you’ll continue to dance for the JOY of dancing. When you don’t feel like going to class, I hope you’ll go anyway. And when a class leaves you feeling discouraged, I hope you’ll remember it will be better next time.
God created you to dance. He created you to be seen. He did not give you a name of insecurity or self-doubt. I hope that your confidence—a result of trusting God—soars this year. I hope that every week, you walk into the studio a little taller, a little stronger, and with a little more joy. I hope that on the hard days, you’ll lean on God to remind you. You were created for such a time as this. You have nothing to prove. Nothing to fear. Dance fully and take up space.
I hope you’ll be prayerful about your dreams. I hope that you’ll talk to God often and be guided by His plans. When He says, “jump,” I hope you’ll not only hear Him, but obey. I hope you’ll take the leaps of faith He’s put in your path ahead. I hope your faith will lead you to radical trust—the kind of trust that makes you do scary things. And until then, if 2026 remains a year to be still, I hope you’ll relish in the gift that is. I know that when it’s time to jump, you’ll feel peace.
I hope that God will provide you with opportunities to grow this year. I know He will. I trust that whatever waters you enter, you won’t drown, and whatever fires you’re tossed into, He’ll be there beside you. I hope you’ll step out of your comfort zone and continue to do hard things.
There are so many wonderful things on the horizon. 2026 is already shaping out to be a year of incredible blessings. What a gift to be alive, to be given one more day.
Lastly, I hope that this year you make strides to grow your friendships. Initiate, reach out, and plan times to get together. Don’t let distance be the reason weeks go by in silence. Your friendships are such a gift. Put in the work to be the friend you want to have.
I’m excited for all that God is going to do in you this year. He’s holding your dreams in the palms of His hands. He’s using your life to bless others. He knows what’s ahead. Don’t rush through today. Soak up every blessing and live in the now.
With love and prayers for the best,
2025 Kylie
I hope 2026 is an incredible year for every person who reads this. I pray God blesses you.
Now go write some goals for yourself, if you haven’t already! And remember, you are loved by God, wonderfully made, and beautifully you. Don’t let someone else’s voice speak louder than what’s true.
Until next time…
hugs,
Kylie
